Building a visual identity across campus
What started as a junior design role grew into something much larger. Over five years at MSU Denver, I worked across two departments — Classroom to CareerHub and the Center for Multicultural Engagement & Inclusion — helping shape not only their visuals, but the way they communicated with students.
As CareerHub transitioned from First Year Success into a new department identity, I helped establish its visual language, initiated the website design, and developed systems that created a more consistent presence across print, digital, events, and campus communications.
At CMEI, my work included research-driven Heritage Month campaigns, infographics, event materials, and print collateral. Cultural research was an important part of the process, helping ensure each piece was thoughtful, accurate, and respectful of the communities being represented.
Over time, I grew from a junior designer into a design lead — mentoring other graphic designers, providing creative direction, and helping establish a consistent standard for the department's visual output.
Convocation Branding
Annual Visual Identity & Event Design
Convocation is MSU Denver's highest-profile student event — and every year, it needed to feel like a celebration worthy of the moment. I designed the complete visual identity and all event assets, from posters and signage to stage graphics and apparel, ensuring a cohesive experience across every touchpoint for 1,000+ attendees.

Minimalist architectural illustrations of MSU Denver landmarks, created for convocation branding to unify event visuals and celebrate the campus.
Movie Poster Series
Event Illustration & Large-Format Design
For MSU Denver's recurring campus movie nights, I designed a series of fully illustrated posters — each one a standalone composition built for large-format production. Rather than defaulting to stock imagery or standard event templates, I treated each poster as its own creative problem, developing original illustrations and bold visual concepts that could hold up at scale and draw students in from across campus.
Heritage Month Poster Series
Research-Driven Cultural Design
Designing for Heritage Months meant getting it right — culturally, historically, and visually. I researched each heritage month independently, ensuring accuracy and respect before a single design decision was made. The result was a cohesive poster series that gave CMEI a consistent visual language for celebrating its students while honoring the communities they come from.
