I'm Charles.
I'm a multidisciplinary graphic designer based in Denver, working across brand identity, campaigns, editorial, illustration, environmental graphics, and digital design.
I’m most interested in the point where information becomes human — taking something technical, unfamiliar, or complicated and finding the visual idea that makes it easier to understand and care about.
My background spans exhibit design, higher education, AEC, community organizations, hospitality, and independent brand-building. That range has taught me how to move between systems and storytelling: designing within established brands when consistency matters, and building new visual languages when one doesn't exist yet.
Outside of client and professional work, I run Artfelt, an ongoing illustration and storytelling project where I explore character design, print, packaging, and world-building.

Awarded to young people in grades 6–12 who have overcome significant personal adversity to create positive change in their lives.
MSU Denver RED Feature — Bento Box E-Bike Project — 2022
Recognized for team work on a student-designed electric cargo bike inspired by the Japanese bento box, as featured by MSU Denver's news publication. Read about it
Exhibit Designer — Pollinator Place, Butterfly Pavilion — 2023
Served as designer for the Pollinator Place exhibit, a major pollinator-focused installation at the world's only AZA-accredited invertebrate zoo. The exhibit's launch drew statewide press coverage and was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting attended by Colorado's First Gentleman. Read the coverage
3rd Place — MSU Denver 60th Anniversary Featured Alumni Artist Contest — 2025
Selected as a finalist in a university-wide competition inviting alumni artists to submit original artwork celebrating 60 years of MSU Denver. Winning pieces were featured in alumni communications, merchandise, and anniversary promotions.
